HEALTH & SAFETY
Health & Safety is a 3 hour course that provides a basic overview and different viewpoints of health and safety. After completion of the course, participants should be familiar and able to explain general information about health and safety such as ..
1. concerns and expectatons of parents, co-workers, center administrators and governing agencies.
2. general and specific health / safety tasks that are related to their age specific or special group of interest.
The course agenda includes interative/informational segments and activities. Each participant is provided an activity booklet and an informational booklet. There is also a personal action plan included in the activity booklet which provides each partcipant an opportunity to assess their personal strengths and areas of growth as it relates to their abilities in being instrumental in maintaining and improving the health, safety and well being of the children.
Communicable Infections Universal Precautions
Communicable Infections / Universal Precautions is a 3 hour course that provides a basic overview of some of the common communicable infections, blood and food borne pathogens. The communicable infections covered in the course are the common cold, chicken pox, influenza, tuberculosis, Hepatitis A,B & C and HIV. After completion of the course, participants should be familiar and able to explain general information about the communicable infections such as ...
1. how the infections, viruses and pathogens are transmitted. 2. prevention and risk reduction methods. 3. the meaning and implications of universal precautions.

There is also a personal action plan included in the activity booklet which provides each participant an opportunity to assess their personal strengths and areas of growth regarding their abilities to be instrumental in preventing and reducing the risk of communicable infections.

The course agenda includes interactive/informational segments and activities. Each participant is provided an activity booklet and an informational booklet which provides each individual an opportunity to think about the fitness and music activities they have experienced or introduced to children. Each participant also gets an opportunity to assess which fitness and music activities meet the developmental and enrichment needs of the children.

2. fruits and vegetables shopping, storing, preparation and serving tips.
3. fun, nutritional/educational, food preparation fruits and vegetables activities for children.
The course agenda includes interactive/information segments and activities. Each participant is provided an activity booklet and an informational booklet. There is also a personal action plan provided in the activity booklet which provides each participant with an opportunity to create and document ideas on ways they will be able to enhance the importance of integrating education and awareness about a fruits and vegetables nutritional regimen.
